Using Google Chrome To Translate ProDemand Into Another Language

You can use the built‐in translation feature of the Google Chrome Internet Browser to translate repair information in ProDemand into another language besides English. The translation won’t be perfect, but having the software translation is a vast improvement over having no translation at all.

1. On your computer, open the Google Chrome Web Browser.

2. At the top right, click the 3 dots and click Settings at the bottom of the drop down menu.

3. Click Languages on the drop down menu on the left side of the screen.

4. Click Add Languages and select the language you want google to use when translating pages.

5. Once you've selected the your languages, click Add.

6. Restart Chrome to apply the changes.

7. Log in to ProDemand. The information will be displayed in the primary language.

8. At the top right, click the 3 dots and select Translate in the drop down menu.

9. Select the language you wish to translate to when the Google Translate icon appears at the top of the screen.

10. ProDemand will now display the page in the selected language.

Navigation Tips:

• If you are using the 1Search Plus, you’ll still be required to use English language search terms. If you attempt to search for Spanish or French language words, you will get no results.
• For the reason above, you may want to navigate via the Service Manual Module.
• Google Translate is a powerful tool with over 200 languages available. Just keep in mind that Google translate is an independent tool and it may not translate 100% effectively in all cases.
